Birrarung Marr Playground

Located near Federation Square and on the banks of the Yarra River, this playground is convenient for those living or working in or near the CBD. KidsTown Adventure Playground

A five-acre playground that is safely fenced and full of amazing play equipment, accessible for a gold coin donation.

Enjoy a full day out with a picnic, there’s something for everyone! A sensory park, maze, tree houses, outdoor cubby houses, toddler play area and even a miniature railway train that runs every weekend and on public holidays, with a carriage specifically for those with limited mobility needs.

You can take the KidsTown Train every weekend, public holidays and during school holidays, from 11 am until 3 pm.

Purchase tickets at the KidsTown Café at $3.50 per person per ride. Also, a 15-ride VIP Train pass is $38.50.

An unlimited all-day pass is $10 per person.

Carers and Companion card holders ride for free.

Golden Sun Moth Park Playground

A unique play area with two separate playgrounds.

One is for younger kids of ages up to 4 and the other is ages 5+.

Another one, the older kids playground is constructed in the shape of a Golden Sun Moth, an endangered species of the area. This playground not only caters for an enjoyable play, but the kids can also learn something new about the Golden Sun Moth.

Both playgrounds have soft floor tiling. The top of the moth structure is accessible by a staircase.

It is located behind the Taylors Hill Youth and Community Centre. The large, enclosed play area is great for fast-paced running. The fun, bright playground  is perfect for kids of all abilities.

Taylors Hill Recreation Reserve Playground has a sensory play area and offers lots of games including tic tac toe, abacus, a music maker, a steering wheel and more. Those mostly suited for younger kids though.

Ramps and smooth paths allow for easy movement around the area.

It is fully fenced, and if you need to use the bathroom facilities or BBQs - those are outside the fence.

Plus, if you're looking for a great skatepark nearby, Taylors Hill Skate Park definitely won't disappoint. With plenty of space to do tricks and obstacles for all ages, it's perfect for skateboarders of all levels.
